And that means another Design Wall Monday over at Judy's site. If you need inspiration that is the place to go to check out what tons of others quilters are working on! I started a new quilt call Hot Spot. I am not in love with it yet but I think once I add some of the pinks and yellows and creams it will pop and I will love it. I hope I will love it because I really love the fabric! The quilt on the right is the one I have been working on FOREVER for my niece. She has been so patient. I did get two more blocks done and only have four more to go. There is an end in site. But then again it has five borders and you all know how I feel about borders!
I do love the fabrics on this. I can't wait to get some time to add the other colors and see if it helps. Maybe by next Monday. Good thing my EQ 7 won't be here for a while. That could really use up some of my sewing time.
Now I'm off to spend a great day with the family at York Animal Kingdom. I just love feeding the deer.

The squares in the corners give a nice effect. I'm sure a few more colors will liven it up. I really love the quilt on the right though. I feel the same way about borders, but I never regret them when they are finished, it is just the during part that is painful.

I used to hate doing borders (boring!) but after you work on a quilt that has so many, you get used to it after a while!

I love the quilt for your niece. I would like to know the pattern, too. I have a quilt I have been also been working on FOREVER. I have noticed that I tend to either forget to work on it now or just avoid it when I walk into the sewing room. Need to do something about that!

The quilt on the right is called Oklahoma twister from American Patchwork and Quilting. I have seen it other places with other names as well. I will check which issue when I get home from work.
Love both your quilts - but especially the Oklahoma Twister! Hope you enjoyed feeding the deer!
