Santa Came Early!

Look what was in my mail box today!!! This poor package had a long way to travel it came all the way from Germany! My mini from the Four Seasons Quilt Swap!!!!! Can you tell that I am excited.LOL

And this is what was inside all those pretty packages. The cutest wall hanging. I love that I can hang this all winter and not just at Christmas time. I can't wait to take it home and find the perfect spot for it. And a cute little bag with a address book and a pen inside. I just love the fabrics that were used. And then the chocolate covered cookies. I also love that because I don't know any German I can't read the calorie count so that means I can eat all that I want.

Here is a close up of the quilt. Isn't it just the sweetest thing. And it is hand quilted as well!

What you don't see is that the package was stuffed with newspaper to keep the quilt safe. I uncrunched all the newspaper and am going to bring them home to my kids. I think they will find it neat to see a newspaper written in German. Bet their teacher would find it neat as well.

Half Pint Update

This is the last Thursday to post for the half pint quilt along. This has been quilted and still needs a binding. I hope to get to it this weekend. I do need to quilt and bind a wall hanging first then on to getting this finished.

Something Old, Something New, Something ....

My latest Half Pint update. The quilt is on the frame and in the process of getting quilted. I am pretty sure I am suppose to have it completed this week which is not going to happen. I am really happy with the progress I have made. The binding is all sewed and just waiting over there>>>>> to be attached as soon as the quilting is finished. I am hoping I will finish up this weekend. There really is just no time to sew during the week.

Here is a close up of the quilting. It is a little hard to see it is white thread on white fabric. There are clouds and butterflies and swirls. Perfect for a little girl. Sure hope the sonogram is right and this little one comes out a girl.

Here is one of my something new. This was done at my embroidery class last week and finished at home. This will be turned into a real cute gift bag that I will put a little gift in for my girls teacher. I am thinking the bag will be even better than the gift.

And for my something old I finished this baby quilt started last Superbowl Sunday. It was a mystery quilt and a lot of fun to make. This will go to my godchild. I can officially remove this from my UFO list.

And another something new. I am happy with the progress on this quilt. I started this in November and it only needs sashing and quilt. This is (yep) another baby quilt. I have a few more baby quilts to make but they will have to wait I need a break from baby quilts!

Now what to work on this weekend. That is if and after I get the Half Pint finished.

Tis the Season

I am thinking the dogs are not very happy with their new hats. First year the tree is down stairs so the tree is minus the breakable ornaments. We shall see how the dogs and cat act around the tree.
