What's a Fork?

My little cousin just had his first Birthday party so Auntie had to make him a cake. I made Pablo from Backyardigans for him. I figured the cake would go a lot father than it did. Of course I did not expect Mommy to give him the whole head. He sure did like the cake. We didn't even have to wash a fork.

I am now in the process of making a butterfly cake for my other little cousin Gracie who is oing to be 1. I am hoping it is done soon cause I want to go to bed. It will be frosted tomorrow after I go to the movies to see Stardust with my cousin Jodi who is Kaines Mom.

Not sure if I can afford the movies after tonight. I just took the kids to the mall for back to school clothes and shoes. It took the girls about two hours to find one outfit and it took our whirlwind about ten minutes. You gotta love a boy.

Off to get the cake out of the oven.

It doesn't get much better than this

I had my cousin's kids for an overnight over the weekend. While it is a little extra work having five kids it is worth it. I think it is so important for cousins to grow up as friends. The littlest one went to sleep in the Playpen but the older one wanted to be with the big kids. I let them all sleep in my bed and this is what I saw when I came in to check up on them. I am not sure who wore who out but they didn't move until after 7:00 A.M. the next morning.

Around the fire

I am at work trying to start my first ever blog(shhh don't tell the boss). Called my husband to figure out what in the heck I should title my page. I didn't want this to be a blog just about me and my hobbies but about me and my life with family and friends. My husband and I came up with around the fire not just because we like the sounds of it but because we realized that since I got him an outdoor fireplace a couple of years ago most of our best times have happened around the fire.

As a matter of fact we had a fire last night. We had friends and family and plenty of food and lobster. We had a friend Jason come to visit from Nashville because he always wanted to see a Redsox Game. Well we couldn't have him come visit without having an fire. The fire again worked its magic and created new friendships that will enrich the lives of all that were there.

I gave up and went to bed a little after midnight. Unlike the rest I had to work today. Can you tell how hard I am working? Woke up @4:00 A.M. to find there was still a group around the fire!LOL

Back to work for me. Cross your fingers and hope this works.
